Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect only the data shown in the comments form. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, in order to prevent spam.
Cookies & Tracking
We go out of our way to AVOID tracking or similar intrusive behavior. Here are the cookies our website may store on your machine. Nearly all of them are OPT-IN, on your end.
First, if you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to store a cookie which contains your name, email address and website. These are for your convenience only, so that you are not required to fill in your details again when you leave a new comment. That cookie will last for one year.
Second, if you visit our login page, we will attempt to set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser actually accepts cookies. That cookie contains no personal data and will be discarded when you close your browser.
Third, when you do log in, our site will set up cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Those last for two days and one year, respectively. Furthermore, if you check the “Remember Me” box, your login cookie will persist for two weeks. However, if you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
With whom we share your data
We NEVER sell our visitor information, nor do we buy any. We consider such behavior to be obnoxious. However, your information may be indirectly shared in the following manners.
First, if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. The emails are not encrypted, and thus may be read by a third party.
Second, our site is registered with the Google Website Tools, in order to be listed in the Google search engine. The Google company tends to keep records of various behaviors concerning our visitors (for example, what search-terms they are using in the search engine, in order to reach our site; or what other sites are linking to ours). While this information is anonymous, it is close enough to “tracking behavior” that we thought it proper to disclose here. (N.B.: Google has this behavior with nearly every website on the internet today; most sites simply do not realize or mention it.)
How long we retain your data
We store your comment metadata and your login information indefinitely, so that you can comment and login again without difficulty. Besides you, only the website administrators have access to that information.
What rights you have over your data
You can always view, edit, and/or delete your own information at any time. You can also request that we do so. We will do so immediately; however, that does not include what we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Your data remains here on our website, with the following exceptions.
First, we check all comments may through automated spam detection, such as CAPTCHA.
Second, payment processing is sent out to verified, encrypted sites including Paypal and Woocommerce Payments.
Third, we contract our custom-printed items through Printify.com; therefore, your orders are sent there for fulfillment.
